Materials Matter is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing donated and low-cost building materials to assist the ill, children and families, and people in need.. Since 2004, we have distributed over $4 million in materials and recycled over 60 million pounds of good, usable materials headed for landfills. We currently serve over 140 Southern California nonprofit organizations through our Community Chest Program, which in turn has helped hundreds and thousands of people in need.  We are proud to be the 2007 winner of the PBS Project Enterprise contest, recognizing outstanding new social enterprises making a difference in communities. more...
