Materials Matter is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide resources to other nonprofits committed to revitalizing communities and building affordable housing, and to promote conservation through materials recycling.

How We Achieve Our Mission
Materials Matter harnesses the collective buying power of the nonprofit community and the goodwill of the business community to secure low-cost and donated materials and resources, helping organizations to save precious financial and human resources. By providing efficient and reliable in-kind donation management services as well as deconstruction and recycling, we have a positive impact on the cycle of consumption in the United States, preventing good usable materials from going to landfills.

We envision a greener, more just world where all families have a safe place to live, and where government, for-profit and nonprofit sectors all work together to meet the triple bottom line of positive financial, environmental and social outcomes for all.
